"Are You Ready for a Disaster?" Presentation to be 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22
The VUMC Department of Emergency Preparedness and Response is sponsoring a presentation on how to prepare yourself for a disaster, to be Thursday, Sept. 22, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in 202 Light Hall.
Jim Kendall, LCSW, manager of Work/Life Connections-EAP, will give a presentation entitled “Are you ready for disaster?” The presentation is timed to take place during National Emergency Preparedness Month.
Kendall has more than 30 years of clinical experience and has been recognized by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation for his work in critical incident stress management. He is certified by the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine Counseling and Psychotherapy (IABMCP) as a Diplomate in Professional Coaching. He has an interest and expertise in providing psychological first aid following trauma.
