We Care for Kids Day to be Oct. 2

The annual We Care for Kids Day will be Sunday, Oct. 2, from 2-4 p.m. on the Sports Field on Children’s Way between 25th Avenue North and Natchez Trace.

We Care for Kids Day is a celebration by the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt of patients and families served within the hospital and in our community. The event is free and open to the public.

Patients and families who have received treatment at Children's Hospital are especially urged to attend.

In addition to entertainment on the main stage, Children's Hospital departments and community organizations provide interactive, educational activities for children at the event.

Booths will focus on education, nutrition, safe and healthy children and exercise. There will also be face painting, inflatables and friends such as mascots, Star Wars characters and super heroes.

There is a reunion area for past patients to meet with their caregivers. Please join us to celebrate our children, families and community
