If it's been your goal, or maybe even your dream, to walk or run the Country Music Half Marathon on April 28, a group of people are getting together to help make that a reality.

Health Plus, Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, Vanderbilt Dayani Center and Gilda’s Club of Nashville are partnering to offer a 16-week comprehensive training program designed to help you reach your goal.

Training begins on Jan. 14, and includes free access to the Vanderbilt Dayani Center, weekly runs/walks every Saturday morning with certified fitness specialists, personalized training at all levels, a discount half-marathon registration and more.

Joining Gilda's Gang is a great way to get fit and give back to the men, women and children in our community who are living with cancer. Those who participate will be asked to raise a minimum of $750 in pledges.

There are two remaining drop-in information sessions at Vanderbilt:

  • Jan. 11, 5-6 p.m. at Health Plus, Kensington Garage, conference room
  • Jan. 12, noon-1 p.m., Health Plus, Kensington Garage, conference room
