Green Bag Luncheon to focus utility savings at work and at home, Wednesday, Dec. 7
The Sustainability and Environmental Management Office (SEMO) and the American Studies Sustainability Project will sponsor the fourth installment of the Green Bag Luncheon Series on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from noon to 1 p.m. in 189 Sarratt.
Dave Parker, a green building consultant, will discuss easy and efficient ways to save energy, water and money in both your office and home environments.
Among the topics to be covered will be energy loss solutions, efficient and energy-saving lighting and temperature controls and timers, fans and ventilation use strategies, solar shading and intake, peak hour usage, water-conserving plumbing fixtures and more.
Anyone who attends will be eligible to receive giveaways relevant to office and home utility savings. Individuals who attend three or more sessions of the year-long Green Bag lunch series will be entered in a drawing to receive one of two larger giveaways.
