ITS moving patient phone lines to new network
Beginning next week, Information Technology Services will move VUH patient phone lines to a newly installed Voice Network System in the basement of Vanderbilt University Hospital.
Patient phones lines (not physical phones) will be moved individually, with each line checked for activity before each move. If no active call is in progress, the phone line will be disconnected from the current system and moved to the new equipment; this will create an outage to the phone of less than one minute.
After the move, the phone line will be tested to ensure it is working properly.

This work will begin on Monday, Jan. 16, and will continue through Friday, Jan. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on this schedule:
