Volunteers needed for Commencement events

Vanderbilt is gearing up for Commencement 2012 and needs volunteers to help with the three-day celebration for graduates and their families.

• The Party, Wednesday, May 9 – A dance for graduates and families at the Commons, this year’s party features dance band Liquid Blue. Volunteers are needed for two shifts – 8 to 10:15 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. to midnight.

Volunteers for The Party receive the following:
- Dinner that evening
- T-shirt branded with event logo
- Opportunity to be a guest when not volunteering
- A gift for volunteering

• Commencement Day – Friday May 11, – The big day for graduates and their families, volunteers are needed 6:30 a.m. to noon at Alumni Lawn, or Memorial Gym during severe weather.

Volunteers for Commencement Day receive the following:
- Breakfast and lunch
- A gift for volunteering
- A great chance to network with many people across campus
- A role in one of the University’s largest and most prestigious events on campus – Vanderbilt’s 137th Commencement.
