Frist to deliver lecture Friday, April 20
Bill Frist, M.D., former U.S. Sen. from Tennessee and adjunct professor of Surgery, will speak at noon on Friday, April 20, in 202 Light Hall.
Frist has enjoyed a distinguished career as a cardiothoracic surgeon, politician and businessman and will be sharing his experiences with medical students. Introducing him will be Walter Merrill, M.D., a cardiothoracic surgeon and Vanderbilt University Hospital Chief of Staff, who together with Frist founded Vanderbilt’s cardiac transplantation program.
The event is presented by the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Chapter of the American Medical Association-Medical Student Association, the Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association and the School of Medicine.
