Next Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Care Providers and Systems survey training is Thursday, July 26

The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients' perspectives of hospital care. HCAHPS, also known as the CAHPS+ Hospital Survey, is a survey instrument and data collection methodology for measuring patients’ perceptions of their hospital experience.

For VUMC-specific details about HCAHPS and VBP, the Service Measurement and Improvement Office offers an HCAHPS Overview course once a month. In this two-hour class, you will be provided with an introduction to HCAHPS along with the background and methodology of the survey, VUMC and competitor results and an overview of the HCAHPS application in PRC EasyView. Value Based Purchasing will also be covered during this class and how it affects our Medicare reimbursement.

The next class is scheduled for Thursday, July 26, at 9 a.m., in room 598 at Crystal Terrace. To register for a class, click on the link below.
