Community Forum: "Fluoride, Plastics and Vaccines: What Parents Should Know" to be Thursday, Aug. 30
All interested community members are invited to a free community forum hosted by Vanderbilt's Center in Molecular Toxicology.
The event will be at Vanderbilt Health One Hundred Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30. There will be brief presentations from three speakers followed by audience Q&A and discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.
This forum aims to provide useful information and answer questions related to three topics that may be of concern to parents/caregivers of young children:
- BPA and other dangerous plastics commonly found in bottles and food/drink packaging
- Vaccines/immunizations and concerns linking these to autism and other adverse health effects
- Fluoride - health issues related to this additive in the water supply and use in dental products
