Study of hearing and balance seeks participants age 45 to 59

Researchers at Vanderbilt are conducting a study to improve a common clinical test of balance. Healthy adults between the ages of 45 and 59, without a history of balance problems are needed to participate.

The study will involve a short hearing test and then a test of balance where you will listening to sounds while in a reclining position with your
head lifted up.

One visit lasting approximately one hour and 15 minutes is needed, and compensation of $25 will be provided for participation.

The principal investigator is Gary Jacobson, Ph.D., professor of Hearing and Speech Sciences.
