"Nashville Promise Neighborhood: How Research is Playing a Central Role" topic of breakfast presentation tomorrow
"Nashville Promise Neighborhood: How Research is Playing a Central Role" will be the topic of a breakfast presentation, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, at the Martha O'Bryan Center, 711 South 7th St.
Presenters will be Kimberly Bess, Ph.D., assistant professor of Human and Organizational Development, and Robin Veenstra-VanderWeele, a licensed clinical social worker and director of Nashville Promise Neighborhood.
Topics will include how a foundation of trust and mutual respect resulted in a highly effective, collaborative and efficient door-to-door community survey across East Nashville. In addition to describing the process and outcomes of the survey, the presenters will describe the rewards of community-engaged research.
