Moffitt Cancer Center's Gabrilovich to speak at Jan. 19 retreat
Dmitry Gabrilovich, M.D., Ph.D., professor of Oncologic Sciences and member-in-residence of the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla., will present the Dr. Philip Browning Memorial Lecture as part of the 12th Annual Cancer Retreat on Saturday, Jan. 19.
The topic of the retreat is “The Interface Between Cancer and the Immune System,” and Gabrilovich’s lecture is titled, “Myeloid-derived suppressor cells in regulation of immune responses in cancer.”
The retreat will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harold D. West Basic Sciences Building, room 1206, at Meharry Medical College. The event is sponsored by the Meharry Medical College/Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center/Tennessee State University Cancer Partnership.
A poster session, open to all cancer-related projects from investigators and students, will be held with prizes awarded.
