Vice Chancellor Balser speaks about the impact of pending federal budget reductions to biomedical research in new video

Jeff Balser, M.D., Ph.D., vice chancellor for Health Affairs and dean of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, is among a group of academic leaders and scientists speaking about the negative impact through federal government budget sequestration on the future of biomedical research conducted by the National Institutes of Health and the nation’s leading research institutions such as Vanderbilt.

Balser’s comments are included in a video posted today to the website of Science Works for U.S., an advocacy group for scientific research and discovery.
