Geriatric Update to be Saturday, Sept. 28
A collaboration of Meharry Medical College, Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University, the Meharry Consortium Geriatric Education Center (MCGEC) provides training for health professional students, faculty and practitioners who provide geriatric care.
The 2013 MCGEC Geriatric Update will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Gladys Stringfield Owen Education Center at Baptist Hospital, 21st Ave. N. and Patterson St.
The program will feature updates on:
- Alzheimer's Disease Past, Present and Future
- Care Across the Continuum: From Evidence to Practice
- Diabetes, Cardiovascular Health, Nutrition, Personalized Medicine & Caregiver Well-Being
The MCGEC is one of 45 Geriatric Education Centers federally funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Bureau of Health Professionals.
