Wondering if you have the flu? Occupational Health has flu tool to help figure it out

Flu season is here in Middle Tennessee. If you are sick or have been exposed to flu and aren’t sure what to do about coming to work or seeking medical care, use the Occupational Health Flu Tool for guidance.

Take your temperature with a thermometer to determine if you have a fever, then answer the five questions posed by the tool. Based on your responses, you will be given advice about work and treatment.

The good news this year is that almost all the cases are from the old H1N1 strain of flu, which has been covered by the flu vaccine every year since 2009, and it’s not too late to be vaccinated.

Flu vaccine is offered at no charge to Vanderbilt faculty/staff and volunteers through OHC.
