Anesthesiology Research Symposium is Friday, May 2
The 10th annual Anesthesiology Research Symposium will be held Friday, May 2, in Light Hall and the Student Life Center. The event highlights the current research of the Department of Anesthesiology's basic science investigators, physician scientists, research nurses and medical students.
From 6:30-7:30 a.m. in 214 Light Hall, Charles Emala, M.D., will present the Grand Rounds/BH Robbins Lectureship on the topic of “Peripheral GABAA receptors: Unrecognized Anestheic Targets?” Emala is Vice‐Chair for Research and the Henrik H. Bendixen Endowed Professor of Anesthesiology at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons.
Following the lecture, activities continue in the Student Life Center Board Room with poster presentations and scientific talks.
