Weddings for palliative care patients to be focus of next Bedside Matters rounds, Wednesday, June 18

The next Bedside Matters, an hour-long, monthly rounds geared toward helping Vanderbilt University Medical Center health care providers deal with the social and emotional issues of caring for patients and families, will take place on Wednesday, June 18.

The brown bag lunch event, held in 202 Light Hall from noon to 1 p.m., is titled: “Eleventh-Hour Weddings in Palliative Care Patients.”

The forum will be facilitated by Chris Jacobus, M.D., and panelists are Jennifer Crane, Martha Leonard, M.D., Sara Martin, M.D., Lillian Hallstrand, Dana Franklin, Joe Fanning, Ph.D., Patricia Smith, N.P., and Donna Pelton. A question and answer session will follow the panel discussion.

The free event is open to VUMC staff, faculty and students. No registration is required. CME, CEU and Contact Hours will be offered.
