Volunteers needed for upcoming fall festivals
Two upcoming community events with Vanderbilt participation need volunteers from the University and Medical Center.
- Vanderbilt is a sponsor for the Thompson’s Station Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27, which is a fundraising event for the Town of Thompson’s Station Community Association (TSCA). The event is themed “The Dog & Pony Show” and includes dog and equine components in addition to live music, a chili cook-off, children's activities and games, arts and crafts and more. Vanderbilt volunteers are needed to help with children's activities in two shifts, 8:15 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m. The event will be in Thompson's Station Park, and more information, including parking directions, is on the event website.
- The Country Ham Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Tennessee Children's Home, 804 Branham Hughes Blvd. in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Vanderbilt volunteers are needed to help with children’s activities for three shifts, 9:30 a.m. to1 p.m., 12:45 to 4 p.m., and 3:45 to 7 p.m. More information on the event is at the Country Ham Festival website.
