Discussion of HIV-AIDS and screening of the movie "The Normal Heart" to be Monday, Nov. 17

LGBT @ VUSN, the new student organization for LGBTQI students and allies at the School of Nursing, is sponsoring a screening
of “The Normal Heart,” a critically acclaimed 2014 drama on the early days of the HIV/AIDS crisis in New York in the 1980s.

The event will begin with a presentation by Nashville CARES on the continued stigma around HIV/AIDS, the face of HIV/AIDS in Tennessee
and current policy initiatives. Representatives from the Vanderbilt HIV Vaccine Trial program will also be in attendance, and popcorn will be provided.

Date: Monday, Nov.17
Time: presentation by Nashville CARES 4:30-5:30 p.m., the movie begins at 5:45 p.m.
Place: Nursing Annex 155 (enter Nursing School at front door off 21st Avenue South, you will be directed to the room)
