Crane placement to close Garland Avenue this week

The placement of a crane necessary for the construction of the Engineering and Science Building will close Garland Avenue between 24th Avenue South and 25th Avenue South from Tuesday, Dec. 2, to Friday, Dec. 5.

The parking lots at the University Club and the E. Bronson Ingram Studio Arts Center, as well as the part of Garland that leads to the back entrances of Medical Center North will all continue to be available through 25th Avenue South or through other entrances.

The Engineering and Science Building began construction in May, and when completed will be seven stories tall and house 230,000 square feet.
