Vanderbilt Volunteer Services will be providing a cozy blanket and warm holiday greeting to each patient in VUH again this year on Christmas Day, said Julie Bulger of Volunteer Services. About 20 Vanderbilt volunteers plan to go room to room to distribute blankets wrapped in gift bags, which were prepared earlier this month by an employee volunteer group from the Office of the Dean of Students.

Bulger also noted that 15 to 20 volunteers from the West End Synagogue will be serving coffee and pastries on Christmas morning to family members and friends of hospitalized patients in VUH. Member of the synagogue have been providing this service for more than 30 years. Bulger said that Au Bon Pain has donated pastries to distribute.
