NIH HEI program announced; internal proposal deadline extended
redcap.vanderbilt.edu/surveys/The NIH-ORIP High End Instrumentation (HEI) program has been recently announced. This program encourages applications from groups of NIH-supported investigators to purchase or upgrade a single item of expensive, specialized, commercially available instrumentation or an integrated system that costs at least $600,000. The maximum award is $2 million.
There have been some changes to the S10 program for both the High End and Shared Instrumentation grants. Please refer to the presentation on the Office of Research website.
Both grants have an NIH due date of May 29. An internal proposal is required for projects that will request School of Medicine (SOM) matching funds. The VUMC Institutional Shared Resource Oversight Committee (ISROC) will resolve any conflicts between potentially overlapping proposals from SOM investigators, and recommend priority for SOM matching funds. Proposals submitted on behalf of or in collaboration with a VUMC core facility or shared resource will be prioritized for SOM matching funds.
To submit an internal proposal, please click on the link to the VUMC SIG Internal Proposal Form below and complete all required fields. Be sure to scroll down to click "Submit" once all information has been entered or uploaded. You will be contacted if more information is needed.
