VICC Annual Retreat slated for Thursday, April 30
Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center’s Annual Retreat will be held Thursday, April 30, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center, 310 25th Ave. South. The theme for this year’s event is “The New Age of Tumor Immunology in Precision Medicine.”
“Immunotherapy is one of the most promising fields in cancer research and we are pleased to feature several leading investigators as speakers during this year’s retreat,” said Ann Richmond, Ph.D., Ingram Professor of Cancer Research and leader for the retreat.
Speakers include Lawrence Fong, M.D., University of California, San Francisco Cancer Center, Drew Pardoll, M.D., Ph.D, and Suzanne Topalian, M.D., Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Jedd Wolchok, M.D., Ph.D., Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
All cancer-related research abstracts are welcome and posters must not be larger than 4’ x 4’. Poster prizes, including cash awards, will be given but participants must be present to win.
Breakfast and lunch will be served for those who register for the event.
