Communicable disease drill to be at VUMC Tuesday, Dec. 8
As part of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to patient safety, the Department of Emergency Preparedness will be conducting a communicable disease drill on Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
“The exercise is designed to enhance our readiness to react in certain emergency situations,” said Jeff Mangrum, R.N., MHA, director of Emergency Preparedness at VUMC. The drill is an annual requirement of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Areas involved throughout the Medical Center include the Adult Emergency Department and the Round Wing in Medical Center North.
