VMG Patient Access Services observes Patient Access Week

Vanderbilt Medical Group Patient Access Services has several activities planned to observe National Patient Access Week, April 3-9, at its Green Hills Office Building location.

The week is set aside to honor front line employees. In an average day, Patient Access Services handles a variety of requests from many persons including physicians, nurses and patients. Access specialists schedule and arrive admissions and help coordinate patient transfers.

Planned activities include Tuesday's Mardi Gras Day, in which those greeting patients will wear masquerade masks and beads; Thursday's Movie Day, in which staff will dress as a favorite movie character; and Friday's Decades Day, in which staff will wear attire from the 1950s, 60s, 70s or 80s.
