Discount on TEDx tickets available for VUMC staff and faculty
TEDx Nashville will be held Friday, April 15 and Saturday April 16 at War Memorial Auditorium and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC), and VUMC staff and faculty can order tickets at a discount.

Friday's program will be held at the War Memorial Auditorium and will focus on the future of health care. Among the speakers that day are Jeff Balser, M.D., Ph.D., vice chancellor for Health Affairs and dean of the Vanderbilt School of Medicine, Susan Carter, administrative director of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt, and Tracy Jackson, M.D., assistant professor of Anesthesiology in the Division of Pain Management.
Saturday's program, which takes as its theme "elevate," will be at TPAC, and speakers will include Kelly Holley-Bockelmann, Ph.D., associate professor of Astronomy.
TED is a acronym for Technology, Entertainment, Design and refers to lectures based around "ideas worth spreading." The conferences were first held in 1984, and are conducted by the Sapling Corportation, a private non-profit organization. TEDx is an independently organized event.
