Sensory perceptions research study enrolling adults without autism, ages 18- 50

Researchers at Vanderbilt Universit are investigating how individuals with autism process sensory cues and are seeking study participants without autism between the ages of 18 and 50. Information provided by the lab about the study is below.

HOW MUCH TIME IS NEEDED?

This depends on several factors, including how many sessions you qualify for and how much time you want to commit. Eligible participants may participate in up to three sessions, each ranging from one to three hours in length.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

You will be asked to answer some questions and complete some questionnaires in the first session. After that session, you may qualify for further sessions. These will include some computer games, other sensory games, and a brain scan using an MRI.

HOW MUCH WILL I BE PAID?

You will be paid $20/hour for all research study appointments. Your parking at Vanderbilt will be paid for. If you participate in the MRI portion of the study, you will also get a picture of your brain.

DO I QUALIFY?

We are looking for adults who are:

  • Typically developing
  • Between the ages of 18 and 50
