Anesthesiology Research Symposium is tomorrow
The 13th annual Anesthesiology Research Symposium will be held Friday, April 28, in Light Hall and the Student Life Center. The event highlights the current research of the Department of Anesthesiology's basic science investigators, physician scientists, research nurses and medical students.
From 6:30-7:30 a.m. in 208 Light Hall, Jean Francois Pittet, M.D., will present the Grand Rounds/BH Robbins Lectureship on the topic “Blood Transfusions, Coagulation Abnormalities and Severe Trauma.” Pittet is the David H. Chestnut Endowed Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Editor-in-Chief of Anesthesia & Analgesia.
Following the lecture, activities continue in the Student Life Center Board of Trust Room and Boardroom C, with poster presentations and scientific talks.
