New Lean Foundations courses offered
For more than a century, various industries have used Lean methodologies to cut inefficiencies, improve quality and increase profitability. For the past two years, Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has been using Lean methodologies to do the same.
The four-hour Lean Foundations course gives staff in clinical and non-clinical areas the basic Lean knowledge and skills to recognize and cut wasteful inefficiency from their work areas. Lean projects at VUMC have saved numerous areas and individuals time, energy and money. This course is offered to groups and individuals at any level of the VUMC organization at no cost.
