New Lean Foundations course dates announced
For more than a century, various industries have used Lean methodologies to cut inefficiencies, improve quality and increase profitability. For the past two years, Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has been using Lean methodologies to do the same.
For the first time, VUMC is offering a class to show staff how to better recognize wastes and inefficiencies in their work areas as well as how to improve work processes to save time, energy and money using Lean methodologies.
This four-hour course covering the foundational concepts of Lean is free for all VUMC staff and is a perfect primer for anyone at any level of the organization who wants to know more about how they and their area can benefit from Lean thinking.
