Educators needed for elective evening courses in schools of Medicine, Nursing
Every fall and spring, the School of Medicine and School of Nursing offer evening elective courses to medical and nursing students. Educators are encouraged to propose an elective in an interesting topic that is not covered within the curriculum. Evening elective offerings have been popular with students, often yielding waiting lists.
These courses are held during evening hours and are not offered for credit. Some current course examples include Spanish for Medicine, The Art of Medicine and Photography for Medical Providers. Other possible ideas include: book club, movie discussions, healthy cooking/eating and other creative/arts interests.
If interested, please send information about your elective to email@example.com by June 15. Some key points to include are:
- Course name
- Small blurb about what is covered in the course
- Day/time of course (courses should meet 6-8 times over the course of the semester)
- Enrollment cap
- Proposed course location
