Medical Center Drive lanes to be closed beginning Saturday for eight months for construction
Medical Center East
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, Medical Center Drive will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane of traffic. The lane reduction will be from the north exit of the East Garage and the South exit of the Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital extending to the north entrance to the Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital. The duration of the lane reduction is approximately eight months. A section of the sidewalk adjacent to the East Garage will also be closed during this time. The reason for this work is for the renovation of the eighth floor of Medical Center East, and a new three-level bridge connecting Medical Center East and Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital on the sixth, seventh and eighth floors. VUPD and flagmen will be on site to help with vehicular and pedestrian traffic. For more information, contact Terry Ralph, senior construction coordinator, at 615-715-1257.
