Osher Center to offer CME credit hypnosis workshop Aug. 26 and 27

A workshop, "Introduction to Hypnosis: Medical Applications & Ethical Issues," will be offered by the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 26 and 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will take place at the Osher Center, 3401 West End Ave., Suite 380.

This workshop is directed toward those working in medical and mental health fields. CME/CEU target audience includes psychologists, physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, mental health counselors and dentists.

Presenters will be David Patterson, Ph.D., professor of Rehabilitation Medicine, Surgery and Psychology at the University of Washington School of Medicine; and Lindsey McKernan, Ph.D. is an assistant clinical professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt.

Cost for the event is $250 per participant.
