Gotterer Health Professions Education Research Day set for Oct. 30

The Gerald S. Gotterer Health Professions Education Research Day will be held Monday, Oct. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in 202 Light Hall and the North Lobby of Light Hall.

Since 2009, Health Professions Education Research Day (HPERD) has celebrated and highlighted health professions education scholarship at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and throughout the Vanderbilt community. The Office of Health Sciences Education, the Office for Continuous Professional Development, and the Educator Development Program are sponsoring the ninth Annual  event.

Tracy Fulton, Ph.D., chair for Excellence in Foundational Teaching, UCSF Academy for Medical Educators, will deliver the keynote address "Recovering from PTSD (Post TCA Cycle Stress Disorder): Use of a Metabolic Map for Learning and Assessment."

Call for HPERD Poster Abstracts

VUSM is currently seeking abstracts for poster presentations related to improving education and training in the health sciences for the ninth annual Gerald S. Gotterer Health Professions Education Research Day.  Submit an abstract by completing this form>>
