Managed Print copier refresh begins
VUMC's Managed Print program has progressed to the point that the Medical Center is now ready to begin replacing its copier/multifunction device fleet.
During the first week of October, replacements will begin with new Canon equipment, starting with the oldest units in the SmartPrinting inventory. About 200 units will be included in this first wave. Departments involved will already have had multiple contacts with CynergisTek/Auxilio and possibly also Canon. Each will be contacted again when the date of their equipment swap is confirmed.
Due to the size of this copier refresh, estimates are that it will take about a month to complete all the exchanges. The CynergisTek team will be managing the transition and working closely with VUMC IT teams to minimize any downtime, as well as facilitate all training required. Care has also been taken to avoid any conflicts with the EpicLeap preparations.
During this process, the CynergisTek staff will also be rounding with departments that have expressed a need for new equipment for new activities or other purposes, so as to develop a plan for those installs.
Updates and useful information will be posted at the program page: https://ww2.mc.vanderbilt.edu/managedprint/
