Be Prepared for Inclement Weather
A message from Pamela Hoffner, VUMC Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Friday at noon through Saturday morning. A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
At this time there is still some uncertainty regarding the exact timing, types and amounts of wintry precipitation expected across Middle Tennessee. However, the potential exists for significant hazardous winter weather (up to a 1/4 inch or more of ice and snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches).
Faculty and staff should check local news or radio broadcasts for winter storm updates and plan ahead. The links to VUMC's Inclement Weather Policies are provided below.
