Vanderbilt Addiction Center looking for Healthy Volunteers for a Research Study

The Vanderbilt Addiction Center is looking for normal healthy volunteers to participate in a genetics study seeking to understand what genetic factors contribute to the development of opioid dependence in women.

We are seeking women ages 18-41 who have been exposed to opioid pain medications (Lortab, morphine, etc.) due to medical procedures like surgery or child birth and have never been addicted to drugs or alcohol.

Each participant will be seen one time for about two hours to complete an interview with two questionnaires, as well as provide a urine sample and a saliva sample for DNA storage.

Women who qualify will receive a $50 gift card for participation upon completion of the visit.

If you are interested, please contact research coordinator Cayce Watson at 936-7075
