A Message from the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Health AffairsColleagues,
In an effort to continually improve the care of our patients, we strive to constantly raise awareness around safety and quality.
This year, we are committed to re-educating our faculty and staff on the elements of universal protocol/timeouts and patient handover communication. To this end, the clinical faculty and staff were asked to complete two new education modules in our Learning Management System, one on each topic. To date, 90 percent have completed their modules.
If you were assigned these modules and have not completed them yet, I am asking you to please complete this training using this link to Universal Protocol/Time Out and Handover Communications: http://vanderbilt.mzinga.com/app/servlet/goTo?Page=MenuHomePage
For further learner assistance or other questions please contact Audrey Kuntz, Ed.D., R.N., quality consultant in the Center for Clinical Improvement, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 936-8870.
