Celebration of Women Mentoring Luncheon Friday, March 5

A celebration honoring three women for their efforts in mentoring other women will be held Friday, March 5, at the Loews-Vanderbilt Hotel.

The annual event is sponsored by the Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker (MIHOW) program, one of the programs of VUMC’s Center for Health Services, and is a fundraiser for the program.

Honorees are:

• The Rev. Becca Stevens, Episcopal priest, Chaplain of St. Augustine's at Vanderbilt University and founder of Magdalene House residential communities, which are designed to rehabilitate women with a criminal history of drug abuse and prostitution.
• Kathy Hearne, who will be recognized posthumously for her dedication to social justice and her role as a nonprofit entrepreneur.
