Still time to Register for March 24 "Trauma Throughout the Life Span" and "Ethical Considerations for Social Work" Conference
A conference to be held on Wednesday, Mar. 24, will explore two topics:
• “Psychological and Neurophysiological Effects of Trauma Throughout the Life Span,” which will be presented by Rebecca Bolen, Ph.D., associate professor at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work.
• “Ethical Considerations for the Social Work Professional,” presented by Kate Payne, R.N., J.D., director of ethics at Nashville’s Saint Thomas Hospital.
The conference is presented by the VUMC department of Social Work, including the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, in conjunction with the observance of March as Social Work Month.
It will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Scarritt-Bennett Center. Cost for the conference is $95.
