The Vanderbilt Addiction Center Needs Healthy Women Volunteers for a Genetics Study

The Vanderbilt Addiction Center is looking for normal healthy
volunteers to participate in a genetics study seeking to understand
what genetic factors contribute to the development of opioid
dependence in women.

We are seeking women age 18 and older who have been exposed to opioid pain medications (pain pills like Lortab or morphine, etc.) due to medical procedures like surgery or child birth and who have never been addicted to drugs or alcohol.

Each participant will be seen one time for about one hour to complete an
interview with two questionnaires as well as provide a urine sample
and a saliva sample for DNA storage.

Women who qualify will receive a $50 gift card upon completion of the visit.

If you are interested, please contact research coordinator Cayce Watson at 936-7075.
