Vanderbilt Retirement Plan Sessions for Flood Victims to be Held June 4

Vanderbilt Retirement Plan sessions for flood victims to be held June 4

Anyone in the Vanderbilt community who has been impacted by the recent flooding in Middle Tennessee is invited to attend an information session at Vanderbilt on June 4.

A representative from Vanguard, one of Vanderbilt's retirement vendors, will be available for three sessions on Friday, June 4, in 208 Light Hall at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m.

The presentation will discuss how and where the retirement plan fits into emergency needs (Should I take a loan? What are the impacts of taking one? What about hardship withdrawals? Can and should I take a distribution?).

Attendees will learn about creating a spending plan, possible short-term solutions, the pros and cons of taking a loan from your account and more.
Come find out about your options, make decisions, and move ahead.

Individual retirement counseling sessions are also available each month from all four retirement vendors. For dates and times of these free sessions go to http://hr.vanderbilt.edu/benefits/counseling.htm.
