Notice from the Deputy Vice Chancellor About Protocol for Outgoing Call Messages
All outgoing phone calls from the Medical Center appear as the same number, which is a central trunk line number, on the recipient’s caller ID.
Patients, referring physicians and others are not able to quickly and effectively respond to our calls if they are not provided an appropriate call back number, thus resulting in a significant source of customer dissatisfaction.
Therefore, I am requesting that you routinely leave a clearly-stated call back number on outgoing phone messages to our patients, referring providers and other business associates. This is both a courtesy and necessity as we further our mission to make those we serve our highest priority.
