Research Study Needs VUMC Practicing Physicians
If you are practicing physician, you are invited to participate in a research study evaluating clinical efficiency associated with the use of medical record systems during patient care.
During the study, you will be presented with four simulated clinical cases at the Vanderbilt Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment (CELA) and will be asked to create clinical notes reflecting the encounter.
You will be asked to answer questions about your interaction with the patient and with the medical record system. All encounters will be video and audiotaped. The goal of this study is to determine the most effective way to interact with patients and medical record systems, and ultimately to provide the critical evidence needed to improve existing medical record systems.
The session will be approximately four hours, and you will receive $100 per hour for your participation. Prior to participating, you will be offered training with the medical record systems being studied, if necessary.
Requirement: Must be a licensed attending physician with credentials to provide patient care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and have experience with direct face-to-face patient care.
If you are interested in participating and would like more information, please contact Trent Rosenbloom at 936-1541 or email@example.com.
