The Small Business Administration (SBA) Works with Flood-Affected Employees

The Small Business Administration (SBA) will be on campus Wednesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 29 to host a group seminar and to work one-on-one with flood-affected employees.

Most flood victims are aware of SBA and their loan options for rebuilding but many do not realize that submitting an application is the only way to qualify for any type of federal, state or local disaster relief, both now and in the future. With SBA’s August 5 application deadline rapidly approaching, flood affected employees are encouraged to attend the seminar or schedule a one-on-one meeting to help answer any questions they may have about the process.

Seminar Information:
On Wednesday, July 28, from 1-2 p.m. an SBA representative will be speaking in Light Hall 202. No RSVP is needed. Topics will include how and why to apply to SBA, general information about the Nashville Home buyout program as well as the Davidson County “We Are Home” program. The seminar will also be streamed live online on the Flood Resource website www.vanderbilt.edu/flood as well as archived for future reference.

PLEASE NOTE: Questions regarding individual cases will NOT be addressed during this seminar. If you would like to speak to an SBA rep about your specific situation please schedule a time as outlined below.

One-On-One Meetings:
SBA representatives will be on campus Wednesday, July 28, (7 a.m.-4 p.m.) and Thursday, July 29, (10 a.m.-7 p.m.) in the Student Life Center to meet one-on-one with employees who have questions or need help filling out their SBA application.
