Physicians Needed for Auscultation Study

Study Title: Hearing Loss and Auscultation

Purpose of the Study:

The purpose of this study is to investigate how hearing loss might affect a medical professional's ability to discriminate different breath sounds.

Participant Criteria:

Practicing physicians with normal hearing are being recruited for this study.

Participation Details:

Participation requires only 1 visit, up to 2 hours in duration, at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center. First, we will screen your hearing.
Next, we will ask you to listen to and classify several breath sounds from a list of possible options. There is no compensation for this study, but the results are intended to benefit medical professionals with future hearing loss.

Please contact Alison.J.Kemph@vanderbilt.edu for more information or with scheduling requests.

All recruiting and participant information will be kept confidential.
