“Speaking with Confidence and Charisma” – workshop for scientists on improving their research presentations. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2:30 p.m., 208 Light Hall.

Vanderbilt’s Center for Science Communication, with the co-sponsorship of the BRET Career Development Office and VUMC Faculty Affairs, has invited Rebekah Maggor to give a workshop to help researchers communicate their science with clarity and enthusiasm. The event will include opportunities for participants to practice techniques they can use in research talks to better engage their audience’s attention.

The workshop is open to anyone at VUMC who gives formal presentations of their research, including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty. There is no charge to attend but space is limited.
