GREGORY N. BARNES, M.D.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Gregory Neal Barnes, M.D., Ph.D., earned his medical degree and Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky , and received his Pediatrics training at Washington University/St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He also trained in child neurology and pediatric epilepsy at Children’s Hospital of Boston/Harvard Longwood Neurology Residency program. After an epilepsy fellowship at Duke University , Barnes was a faculty member of the University of Kentucky before joining Vanderbilt in the divisions of Pediatric Neurology and Epilepsy in the department of Neurology. He is assistant professor of Neurology.

His major clinical interests are medical and surgical approaches to pediatric epilepsy, neonatal neurology, and neurogenetics.
