RAMON FONTANILLA CUEVAS, M.D.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Ramon Fontanilla Cuevas, M.D., Assistant Professor of Neurology Dr. Ramon Fontanilla Cuevas received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, earning a B.A. in Biology and Psychology and graduating with highest distinction. He went on to The University of Iowa College of Medicine to earn his medical degree, and came to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to serve an internship in Internal Medicine.

Cuevas remained at Vanderbilt throughout his post-doctoral training. He served an Adult/Pediatric Neurology residency, during which he was named chief resident. Cuevas also completed an internship in Pediatrics, and recently completed fellowship training in Sleep Medicine, with special emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric sleep disorders. Cuevas joined the faculty in 2004 as a Clinical Instructor in Neurology, and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2005.
