STEFAN ENGSTROM, Ph.D.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dr. Engström graduated from Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg, Sweden with a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics in 1988. He earned the degree of Teknologie Licenciat from the Institute of Theoretical Physics, University of Götenborg, Sweden in 1991 and a Doctorate in Theoretical Astrophysics from the same university in 1993. Engström was a research assistant at Chalmers University, in the Institute for Theoretical Physics in 1993 and then came to Lick Observatory at the University of California – Santa Cruz as a postdoctoral fellow later that year. From 1994 – 1998, he was a Neurobiology research associate at J.L. Pettis VAMC. Engström was a staff scientist at the University of California – Riverside in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in 1998. He joined the faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1999 and is now a research instructor in the Department of Neurology.
