NEUROIMMUNOLOGY
The Division of Neuroimmunology sees patients with immune-mediated
disorders of the nervous system, with a focus on multiple sclerosis and
allied disorders. Vanderbilt Neuroimmunologists staff one of the largest
multiple sclerosis centers in the Southeast, which sees approximately
3,500 patients annually.
The Vanderbilt Multiple Sclerosis Clinic is located in
Vanderbilt at One Hundred Oaks, and provides a comprehensive program for
multiple sclerosis evaluation, treatment and education. The Clinic works
closely with other services the patient population may require, such as
the Neuro-oncology, Neuropsychiatry, Neuro-cognitive, Neuro-Imaging and
Neuro-radiology. Our clinic is recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society for its excellence in care for MS patients.
The Division of Neuroimmunology also performs diagnostic studies, such
as lumbar punctures, ultrasounds of the bladders, vision testing, and
phenol block testing for the management of spasticity, all at the same
location.
